Located in the heart of Dubai’s exclusive beachfront district, Sirene Beach by Gaia is a luxurious beach destination created by the renowned Greek restaurant Gaia. Known for its sophisticated coastal aesthetic and refined hospitality, the venue required outdoor shading that complemented its elegant design and elevated guest experience.

The client approached us to design custom-made parasols that would:

• Reflect the Mediterranean-inspired elegance of the brand.
• Withstand Dubai’s harsh coastal conditions, including intense UV exposure and high temperatures.
• Feature subtle branding and colour matching to align with the venue’s serene white, neutral and navy blue palette.
• Deliver the perfect balance of form and function — combining shade, style, and strength.

This was an opportunity to demonstrate our expertise in creating printed parasols that not only serve a practical purpose but also enhance the brand experience.

The site required a combination of central-pole and cantilever parasols.  We provided a collection of parasols for the entire site, covering the lounge, terrace, restaurant, poolside, and beachside areas.

Tassels quickly became the design focal point, leading to a major component of the project.  This involved colour sourcing the right thread colours, looking at thread thickness, sampling different sizes, lengths and weights of tassels, trialling glass beads and creating a bespoke custom-made tassel for the project.

The Greek element was then enhanced with ribbon attachments that mimicked the Aegean aesthetic.

Working collaboratively with the Sirene Beach design and operations teams, we produced a collection of bespoke parasols tailored specifically to the venue’s needs.

Key features included:

• Premium FSC wood parasol frames – for a lux look
• Wood-effect aluminium frames – for the cantilever parasols to combine both strength with a cohesive wood look
• Marine-grade ECO fabrics – rPET canopies for high-end look but with the environment at its core. Treated for UV protection and water repellence plus ISO 6-7 ink for excellent fade-resistance.
• Subtle printed branding – reflecting Sirene Beach by Gaia’s refined identity.
• Tailored fittings and bases – designed for seamless installation across beach and dining zones.

Each parasol was meticulously produced to meet our high standards of craftsmanship, durability, and design — ensuring they perfectly complemented the sophisticated environment.

The completed collection of bespoke printed parasols now provides stylish and durable shade throughout Sirene Beach by Gaia. The parasols enhance the guest experience while reinforcing the brand’s signature luxury aesthetic.

There were seven different canopy designs spread across the site, all with a similar aesthetic but different to segment different areas.  All utilising double canopies, allowing different designs on both the interior and exterior, plus offering a thick, luxurious look and finish.

We then hand-sewed zig-zagged ribbon onto each of the panel edges, allowing the custom-made tassels with glass beads onto each edge.  32 tassels per parasol exuded a premium feel.
