Coya Beach defines itself as a sun-drenched escape blending bold Peruvian flavours, chilled coastal vibes, and soulful daytime beats, just steps from the sea, bringing the essence of Latin America to the shores of Ramatuelle. A summer pop-up, on the idyllic beach of Pampelonne, where an exclusive experience awaits for those who seek something rare, refined, and truly exceptional.

Coya Beach Club in Saint-Tropez — famed for its chic Mediterranean vibe, beachside sophistication, and vibrant social scene — was seeking an elegant shading solution for its outdoor terraced restaurant and beach. The parasols needed to do more than provide sun protection; they had to:

• Match the venue’s premium brand aesthetic
• Offer robust performance in coastal conditions (sun, sea breeze, humidity)
• Withstand heavy daily use across the summer season
• Integrate seamlessly with the venue’s bespoke furniture and design

Off-the-shelf parasols simply wouldn’t cut it — Coya Beach needed something custom-crafted to specification to blend with the aesthetics of  the global luxury lifestyle brand COYA, founded by entrepreneur & philanthropist  Arjun Waney, OBE.

Another key requirement was compliance with local guidelines, which specify that all beach parasols in the area must be finished in white or cream to preserve the established coastal aesthetic. To meet this requirement while still allowing for brand expression, a double-layer canopy design was selected — featuring a neutral exterior and a more expressive interior, where colour and branding could take centre stage.

Step 1 — Design Consultation
We began with an in-depth consultation with First Within, the prestigious London-based interior design agency managing the Coya project. Our goals were to clearly understand:

• Desired look and feel (colours, shapes, branding alignment)
• Performance needs (UV protection, durability in sea air)
• Installation scope (terrace layout, spacing and anchoring challenges)

Step 2 — Bespoke Engineering & Material Selection
Using this briefing and the designs provided by First Within, our designers put together a series of canopy designs which evolved to the final design.

Step 3 — Sampling & Precision Manufacture
Once final designs were approved, our workshop produced a sample canopy for testing and approval.  Mass production then commenced.

Step 4 — Delivery & Installation Support
We coordinated logistics to Saint-Tropez and provided installation guidance to ensure each parasol was sited perfectly for shade coverage and guest comfort.  One of the Brollies & Parasols Team also visited the site to check progress and assist with any required installation.  They also completed safety checks and briefed the team who worked with our parasols daily.

The final canopy involved a double layer canopy approach which allows two separate designs within the parasol as well as providing an ultra thick lux feel to the canopy:

The EXTERIOR canopy was a Pantone-matched neutral tone in rPET.  This was elevated with a custom-shaped valance with a deep scallop.

The VALANCE shape was enhanced by a printed Pantone-matched blue band with Pantone-matched binding for a seamless look.  The COYA BEACH logo was then centralised and set within the scallop’s curves.

The INTERIOR was where the design came to life. Our Design Team created a unique rippled, tiered design to mimic the scalloped valance.  The blue band was continued on the interior with matching rib pockets.  The coloured tiers were then Pantone-matched and continued up the canopy.
